Transfer case fluid?

Ive seen people use synthetic, not sure it hurts anything, I just went off the what it came with front he factory.

I guess it's true that GM switched to Dexron VI for the later transfer cases. Mine for sure says auto trak II. Go with the manual. At least ATF is easier to find.and cheaper.

Just purchased a rig like yours, same year and style and mileage. Going to start the 100k service tomorrow. Mine calls for Dexron VI for the 2 speed transfer case, MP3024.

Very nice. I plan to start in the morning as well. Make the most of the long weekend.

I was looking for torque specs for 2009 yukon CL if any for the following. Items

Front diff drain plug
Front diff fill plug

Transfer case drain plug
Transfer case fill plug.

Thanks Matt, i had gone through that particular thread but wasnt sure if some of the numbers there apply to my truck. based on details on the Wiki page my Truck comes under GMT930 category.

Ill see if the dealer service dept can give me those.

I just use the GMT900 specs. Same general equipment for all 1500 models.
