Not the one that happens when you put it in gear or decelerate.
I have a 07 Denali XL. About 10k miles ago, it started doing this CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK thing under heavy acceleration, and it's getting worse.
I took it by a transmission shop to have him listen to it, and without opening it up, he seemed to think I'm getting some sort of chain/gear slipping.
Transmission is fine, shifts fine, other wise runs great. It's literally only under heavy acceleration that I get this. If i drive mildly, it won't do it, but as soon as I gas it a bit, it happens.
Would that even make sense about the chain slipping? Is there such a thing in this setup? I'm more of a hot rod guy, so this advanced AWD system is a bit new.
Anyone else experienced this, and/or fixed it themselves? Should I just head to the shop? I have all the tools and a lift and all that, so i don't mind doing it, assuming parts can be had and I can figure out what the crap it is. Thanks!
