I hear you both but unfortunately that's not an option. I owe the bank money on this still, and would have to sell my 95 ford powerstroke with 148k miles to cover the difference. If I can avoid that at any cost I'll do it. Unless I can find someone who wants this fully loaded 04 Z71 with 122k miles for $7k as is. I don't want to make a penny off it, I just wanna be done.

Just a thought, I haven't driven the Tahoe in weeks but fairly sure the transfer case switch says its in 2hi, I swear I remember it feeling like its in 4hi. Tomorrow I'm gonna look at that and see what I can find. But I have a slight feeling that this whole issue is related to something either with the switch or the transfer case. Both of which if you google you will see hundreds of Tahoes with those issues. Idk what to do anymore, but I'm trying to move into a smaller place as a newly single dad, and this Tahoe is what's holding me up. Need to figure this out.

That's not an easy situation to be in. I know the feeling when it comes to the car situation. Look into the transfer case. Could be linked. Don't Well, you powerstroke! Lol that beast will run forever! :D.
