probably has to do with the tire size and your gears, my transmission guy told me they have to do some other stuff to the transmission once you go over a 37" tire otherwise it trashes the transmission, talk to a GOOD shop that knows what they are doing and see what they say about it.

Yeah talk to the guys at Performabuilt. They build them for the purpose you need. Great dudes, the best built 4l60’s anywhere.

I think larger tires are what breaks the sunshell. The splines are pathetic from the factory and get trashed easily.

That’s why you want somebody that knows what they’re doing when it comes to building a 4l60e for big tires. You want The Beast sun shell from Sonnax and all the other parts to back it up. Check out the Extreme 4x4 Max from Performabuilt. Then can build it for a 4 x 2 also.
