Howdy! Anyone know if the rear main housing/gasket assembly can be replaced without disconnecting the transmission high voltage cables to the hybrid module? Referring to pulling the 2ML70 apart from the 6.0.
It’s visibly leaking from the passenger side rear housing gasket above the oil pan. Other side is leaking as well.

is there enough slack on the cables?

I tried to search for any posts but couldn’t find anything for the hybrid trans. Anyone have any advice?

Thanks very much!!

I don't know if there's room as I haven't done it. but I've been inside the hybrid battery a few times. I think you should unbolt the cables. the test is you pull the orange safety plug on the hybrid battery. wait a few minutes. use a multi meter to test for voltage at the cables. test form cable to cable and cable to ground. Just to make sure there's no charge left. there shouldn't be, but just to be safe. and then it's just make sure you put them back in the same order you took them off. and tighten to the correct torque.

there's some videos on YouTube of removing the under hood inverter box. that's where those cables run to. so it's the same idea of how to unbolt.
