Transmission slipping and surging

The fluid is ok....but it feels like its low on the highway sometimes it'll surge and I noticed the speedo going a bit wired as well gave it some gas and it really pulled ahead hard.....came to intersection and when it went green it felt like it was slipping again....it used to sit about 1000 rap traveling a highway speed now it seems it won't slip back into od as it now runs about 2000rpm at the same speed.

last year I changed out a valve I forget what it was called some sort of trans valve that sits right near the transmission dipstick I don't know I'm a damn bodyman. any help????

Sounds like a shift solenoid if its not shifting into OD.

well color me embarrassed and relieved at the same time fluid was low...I just couldn't see the lowest fluid mark I guess I put in about 1/4 of the bottle that helped big time

Im back....wasnt the fluid turns out my speed sensor was going bad...its located right on the tranny easy to change think its called vehicle speed sensor
