truck dies

so i am driving then all of a sudden my truck studders. the warning lights all come on. this only happens for a split second then back to normal. what is happening?

G101 Sheet Metal at RH front Wheelhouse
G102 RH front of Engine Block, near Damper Pulley
G103 RH front of Engine, near Thermostat Housing
G104 RH top of Cylinder Head, near center
G105 RH front of Engine Block
G107 LH front Fender (Auxiliary Battery Ground)
G110 RH rear of Engine Compartment, below Heater Lines Gill RH rear of Engine
G112 RH front of Engine Compartment, below Underhood Reel Lamp
G113 On Radiator Support, near LH Headlamp
G150 (VIN M, R, J) RH front of Engine, near Thermostat Housing


Check the grounds are intact and clean.

Also check for burned or broken wires along the top engine harness.

Make sure all your fuses are secured as well in the cab and under the hood.

Mine did this just the other day, and in the past. Only 1 time did it turn out to be anything other than the battery connections, it was the starter ground wire.

i replaced the battery. i checked the terminals and they are secured and clean. i did replace the starter a couple weeks ago. but how can a lose ground on the starter do such a thing? it happened several times today. only when i went over 65 though

It is posible your pcm might think it is seeing a random vehicle over-speed condition and going thru a fuel cutoff phase since you mention it only happens when over a certain speed. If it was a speed sensor the speedo would not be able to react fast enough to prove it but you might notice a little bump in the needle when it does. If your CEL lights up briefly then with the proper scanner you should be able to look at stored but non active codes as well as the freeze frame data it is required to store when it gets triggered.

Can yo uscan it with a code reader? Even though the CEL may not be on, there still may be a code. I just went through almost the same symptoms, and with no CEL light on, I still had a code of intermittant crankshaft position sensor circuit.

Just a thought.
