In the process of installing a stereo i taped the brown wire on the left side kick panel which would get 12v of constant power when the key was in the acc position. I attempted to start my truck and it wont crank i checked the brown wire again and it no longer receives 12 volts when i move the ignition to the acc position and my power windows wont operate. I believe this is the brown wire that goes to the ignition. Could i have shorted something out like the bcm?

The truck is a 2004 Yukon.

This is the brown wire i am talking about:

thats the 2nd accessory wire. the acc. wire you tapped in may have shorted to ground somewhere. check your fuses...most likely under the hood, as that is a high current wire. be sure to fuse your new wire so that it will just blow that fuse instead. that shouldnt be connected to your bcm.
