Trying to get decent power without FI

Sorry for being a newbie with the ls platform, but I've currently got a 08 tahoe, and it's a pig. I'm not wanting to boost it, but I'd like a little more power. Tune, intake, header, exhaust, torquer cam, etc. I'd like some feedback from some of the guys that have tinkered with making their tahoe a little quicker. Trying hard to make the ss Tahoe that Chevrolet never made.

Cam, LTs and stall should net you some decent ponies.

LTs yes. For a cam, I would recommend calling the company you plan to go with an have them recommend a grind based on your desires/specs. Also ask them about what stall would match up good.

I have a K&N cold air, American Racing headers and y pipe, Corsa Sport exhaust,Comp Cams cam which Ill have to post specs later,Comp Cams 29618 springs, rocker trunnion upgrade and 7.4 hardened pushrods, GM LS7 lifters and LS2 timing set, ARP headbolts, all GM gaskets and with a tune it made 340 to the rear tires. I think stock its like 250 or something at the tires.

So far still shifts good. Not looking forward to having to pull it once it goes.

I hear that! Im saving for a built trans right now before I do any engine work. Mine is already starting to show it's age.

Thinking about going with a Comp Cam for my next mod. Hearing anywhere from 10-20 whp gains. Has anyone Dyno pulled and verified net gains after install and proper tune?
