okay i have quiet a few questions so i figure i would post them up on here and see what you guys thought.

my truck is a 03 escalade ext. its the awd with air ride. i already have a mcghauys 2/3 spindle drop on it. it came with the front spindles, rear shock extenders and coils. it rides awesome and i love it but im really wanting to go lower. i already have eibach drop keys to go up front but was wondering if i could just swap out the back 3" drop coild for a 5" one.

i also wanted to know how exactly you swap the keys out and if you usually have to get an alignment after they are swapped.

perfect timing haha my buddy with an 03 EXT wants me to get him a drop kit so this is good that I'm reading this..

anyways..
with the air ride you have the shock extenders should still work with the lower coils, I can't remember if Blizzard did anything else with his denali in the way of keeping his stock shocks but he definitely needed extenders

IMO go with the Belltech 5305 coil it rides very soft, almost stock, and will get you about 5 inches in the back

with newer keys you will be setup perfect since you have spindles
you'll be able to have so much play in front ride height but yes any time you change the front end suspension with the torsion keys you will need to get it aligned

once you get it aligned you can still play around with it, at least I was able to, by changing each side equally

so drivers side 1 turn passengers side 1 turn

oh and as always.. PICTURES!! :)

I've always loved the look of 6's underneath a low ass hoe/kon

keys...
jack up front end so the tires are off the ground
jack stands!!!!!!!
take the adjusting bolt out on both sides
the torsion key will be resting on the spacer
get the GM torsion key unloader or a 2/3 claw gear puller from kragen and put the pin in the groove of the spacer and start cranking it until the tension of the key is off the spacer
poke the spacer out with a tool, don't trust the gear puller or GM tool
now let the tension off the tool and the torsion bar will now be loose
depending on how rusted yours are, I hit mine with PB blaster and let it soak for a while then took a torch to it and beat it out with a sledge but mine were rusted good

then install the new key and do the reverse steps

yea I ended up talking to bliz. He told me if he were me he would just leave the stock keys and lower them all the way down I'm just really worried about ride quality after this. It's not that big of a deal but I'd still like I to ride okay.

I just added lowering keys to mine on top of the 2" McGaughys spindles. the rear was already as low as I wanted it, just wanted to level the front.. Alignment is a must..

lmfao! I am 17 and white
before my body drop my keys were turned maybe a half a turn just to keep bolt from coming out and it rode fine, the bump stops were/are completely smashed but I guess my shocks make up for it
