depends on your geographical location, too. Higher altitude with less dense air, it helps to have an improved intake. Lower elevation with denser air, it helps to have a better exhaust to help with the increased back pressure. I've got all 3 and really like the improvements, both HP and MPG.

Higher elevations are less dense thus having less oxygen. With less oxygen your fueling will change or less fuel will be delivered. But, keep in mind your hp will also be down. With race bikes it is typically 12% loss at 4K feet compared to a jetted 500-1500 asl jetted bike (both being jetted for correct altitude). Or simple terms apprx. 3%-4% for every 1000 feet asl.

Keep in mind also,that fuel bought at higher elevations or above 4K feet is a different blend or also less dense to allow for similar fueling at a lower elevation.

Plenty of things go into play in this situation.
