TVS for a high mileage DD, am I crazy?

MY '05 Tahoe just clicked 100k miles this week and with my new job, I'm driving about 25k mi/yr. Right now, it's completely stock. Am I crazy for thinking about a Maggie TVS kit, custom tune, and mildly building the trans (for reliability) considering the miles I'm going to put on it?

I will definitely have a shop install (ECS Supercharging up in NJ, unless I find a very reputable one in MD).

I figure it will cost ~9k minimum for the kit, tune, trans, and install.. a lot of money to sink in a vehicle that is likely worth the same :D Worst case, when I get a newer truck, I could get a new manifold and throw the SC on it...

No you're not crazy. I say do it especially if you plan to keep it for a while

Since your mileage is higher, your rings should have opened more which is perfect for forced induction. You should be good to go for a while. When you rings aren't gapped correctly, the pressure from forced induction would cause you to bust a ring land on the piston.

Go for it. I'm Maggie'ed and have 116k on the clock. Just installed and so far no problems running 7 pounds of boost. I got a 3.2 pulley on order

100K is nothing on these motors. You may actually make it more efficient if u keep your foot out of it.
