Welcome from Oregon. I have what I call a hybrid system in my 02 Denali- Pioneer HU with wireless CarPlay, Bose Luxe Amp running the 8 satellite speakers which have all been replaced with aftermarket 2 ohm, and a separate bass mono amp run off the Pioneer sub output with a JL 10” sub in an MTX Thunderform box that keeps it stealthy. It works really good this way, it’s fairly easy to do and I didn’t have to replace all the wiring or hack anything up. The surround sound effect from the Luxe amp is fairly decent too. I believe you have that amp in yours.
question about lux amp and speakers...with having the tweeters in it....do you think i'd be better off replacing door speakers, with midbass speakers, instead of coaxial speakers? i think its just gonna too bright with all those tweeters. and reinforce the low end. the bose speakers seem like midbass speakers to me to begin with. or maybe midbass in front, coaxial in the back?? any thoughts on that?

I’m no expert by any means. I went with JBL GTO628 or 638 coaxial to replace the door speakers with. I like my music a bit bright but there’s always the EQ on the head unit. The a pillar tweeters don’t really do much imo. As far as bass, I thought you had that figured out. :) My 10” JL pretty much makes any bass coming through the door speakers unnoticed so those are pretty much mids and the tweeters are nice to have there. These SUV’s are pretty big and tweeters are really directional. Each area of seating needs their own tweeters the way I see it. The back seat passengers aren’t going to hear the front tweeters much and to me the a pillar tweeters don’t do much so it’s nice to have them in all 4 doors. Another note- The JBL638 (and probably other brands) have adjustable 0 to +3db tweeter level attenuation also. I think I left mine at 0.

ty...theres alot of softer material to deaden the sound of the tweeters in the interior, guess thats what i was asking more so, is how it carried in the cabin. i havent hooked up subs yet, so its lacking in that part of it, prob why it feels so bright.im waiting for my OFC cable to arrive, i have a ton of CCA i used in my blazer, but i wanted to use some better wire for this install. i did see infinity pair with tweeter attenuation buttons on them i was looking at myself. ill check out those as well.ty!!!
