Im sorry, but if those were "designed" for HID's. Then the pattern and output looks the exact same as what was on my Yukon with TYC Headlights + HID's.

Looks great of course. But thought the cutoff, pattern and output would be more clean, less light scatter etc...

well unlike your "kit" these are easier to install, and have a better quality components. They actually have a d1R bulb unlike your 9006 hid "kit" they have oem quality ballests from phillips unlike your HID "kit" and are all 1 unit where all you have to do is remove your headlight, and then put in this headlight and connect it to the plug. You dont have to run wires or mount ballests or anything. your 9006 bulb "kit" does not have the proper reflective caracteristics like a D1R bulb. The TYC hid system is infact the exact same component and set up that lexus used on their older vehicles, and what ford still uses on its town car, and on 09 back mustangs. Your halagon headlights with your hid "kit" are not.

Also this comes with a card that says its DOT. While your tyc headlights do have that card you will notice written on the card it clearly states "only DOT complaint when used with included bulbs" any remotly smart cop will know that your HID "kit" was not included with these lights because of all the extra wiring you had to run. His are truily DOT complaint and will have no issue if ever pulled over.

LOL. Okay, I have read the thread. I know what they are. I was commenting on how they compare to a normal Housing with HID's. Looks the same.

If it were designed for an HID, I would assume that it would look better.
ie the cutoff, output, and the light scatter.

Read my post before you call people "dumbass"

Dumbass.

what???

I think RT called him a dumbass

Prius uses the same D1R bulbs and refelctor housing. Mercedes and Acura also used them before.

I did, but thought it was more mature to explain every little detail than to just call someone a dumbass. So I deleted my post like 2 seconds after I posted it.

Dude, your not reading anything I am saying. Yes, they are what they are. I am only commenting on the output of the housing etc...Calm down.

Adding an "HID Kit" is not hard. Your talking like it is brain surgery. OMG, I have to mount something...GASP!

Your talking about the HID Bulb. I understand it is an OE style part like many others. It is not just the bulb's "Proper Reflective Characteristics". It is how the Housing is made. My only comment was that I would expect it to be "Better" than they advertise as designed for HID's.

Learn how to spell also...

I know adding an HID kit is not hard. I have done it many times.

Your post came off as cross because you were defensively mocking how you think that your cheap 50 dollar HID kit is the same as a much better quality HId system.

What I am saying is most people are turned off by running wires and what not. So the fact that someone makes a kit where its no harder than plugging the stock plug in to a female end much like the stock bulb. Makes it all the better

I dont do shit for assholes.
