So I was wonder if you guys can chime in to see what this problem is. Its almost as if the car is moaning or groaning at start up. I think it because of the AC. Its quite freaking loud.

Im also getting the "Service battery Charging system", and my dash gauge likes to flicker. Lucky im not to the point where the car will shut off. I do have an extended warranty that should cover most parts.

Thanks in advance.

If you have the warranty still take it in for repair. To see if it is the AC causing it turn the a/c off before you turn off the car next. Then on your next start see if the noise continues. If it does not continue, then the a/c compressor is acting up. If it does continue it could be the belt tensioner or the alternator going bad.

I say my warranty is great but it has bit me in the ass before. Mainly because my dealer is trying to rip everyone off. They LOVED me when I still had factory warranty nonetheless. I have to be spot on with the "problem" or else they will charge me the 160 for the Diag fees for EACH case I bring up.

One time I took the yukon there because the piston slap, running boards not working everytime, and the odd noise behind the drivers side door (still havent figured out that yet). So I get there they tell me that the piston slap normal, I just live with it now. Running boards have to be re programed and could not find out the noise. I paid 300 for FEES just looking at it! WTF and on top of that they wanted 120 for the re program. Okay end of rant...

Oh to answer the AC, I will start it then turn the AC on then I hear the sound. Thats why im not positive but pretty sure its the AC

A lot of pre-owned and aftermarket warranties are bs. If it is not a factory new warranty, dealerships always look for a way around.

There are a bunch of posts here about an odd, loud noise at start up. Do a search -- you'll find out exactly what the cause is (not having the problem myself, I haven't paid attention to what the cause is).

Do you have or can you get a sound clip of the issue? I know that Bellis had a loud noise at one point too and she was able to finally figure out what it was but I don't remember the root cause.

The "Service Battery Charging System" message makes me thing you need a new battery or there's an issue with your alternator but that wouldn't be causing the loud noises.

I'm actually back at the dealer right now. I'm standing in the service bay waiting for them to fix it again.

Matt- you have the exact same symptoms I do. It was reprogrammed two weeks ago and it still does it. Ac works fine, but given the noise and severity of sound, I'm afraid it's doing damage and come August, I'll lose my ac. I'll update when I find something out.

I got the reprogram wednesday and today it made the same moaning groaning sound. ****! I really thought it went away because the past couple days it was silent and seemed like my ac would cool quicker.

I dont know if its normal but it was around 97 today and it took my car maybe 6 mins to get somewhat cool then around 15 mins to get freaking cold. Is this normal ?

I Guess its back to the dealer for me too...
