I was called about our 3.0L Denali Ultimate order today asking if we would settle for a base 3.0L Denali. They said any builds with the RSE, 22” Ultimate package wheels, power steps, or air ride won’t get through due to constraints. They’re a pretty big dealer that’s been getting 3-4 Yukon allocations per week and they think that anything close to the Ultimate package will be held up for a very long time. Finding a week where both the Diesel and Ultimate aren’t on constraint may never come in this model year. Very frustrating since we ordered ours May 12th and it was delivered 11/16 but we had to reorder because “GM wouldn’t pay” to repaint the defective hood.
My buildable order was submitted by the dealer yesterday. Had to remove the max trailering to get them to do it. Denali 4x4 Diesel with no packages. I know the dealer used the max trailering for another customer sold order that may have been waiting longer than me (11/16/21) by the way he asked me 3 times in 5 minutes if he could get it in for the 2/7 TPW w/o the NHT.

Anyone know if there are still constraints on the Premier trim? Looking at sliding roof, HUD, surround vision, 20in wheels. No max trailering, no RSE and no 22 needed.

Want to know why the LM2 Diesel has no constraints this week? How about GM was forced to release the engine to the hundreds of customers waiting months for their orders to be accepted by production control because the new "refreshed" Silverado and Sierra's start of production is the same 2/7 TPW. Can you imagine the outrage if a customer got one of the first ones off the line with the diesel and your order was passed over for the 20th straight week?

Current constraints for this week are in the original post. Looks like there are a couple of constraints on there for the Premier.

Ok, so according to the sales guys I’m working with my order was rejected again- citing due to diesel constraints. It’s a pretty basic build LT trim with lux package and diesel. I know the max trailering package is on constraint and I even provided a screenshot of the constraints posted yesterday letting him know I would drop it if it was an issue. He claims it’s not an allocation issue but related strictly to the engine choice. Is it time to move to a new dealer? Is anyone else seeing a diesel constraint with their order? Finally found a dealer at msrp and accepting gm supplier discount. So starting over will be a chore.

Sounds like your dealer did not get enough Tahoe's this week to cover your order, OR , he prioritized some before you due to less profit on your deal. GM does allow a dealer that leeway.

I ordered my premier today. I’m not in a huge hurry, so I figured I might as well wait for what I want.
Tahoe Premier
Midnight Blue / Black interior
3.0 Duramax
Sunroof
Rear Bench seat
If it’s here in June I’ll be happy. Anything before that is a bonus

Because I'm remarkably dense, what do these columns mean?

Referring to the Yukon constraints, if an item is listed (e.g. Power sliding console) that means there's a constraint. But what do the 0's after it mean? The national qty available is 0 - that means there are 0 available for any new orders?

On the other hand, does that mean there are 301 Denali's available in the US right now?

National availability means how many of that option will built nationwide. Then you have to hope your dealer gets an allocation for them. The national quantity might be 200 and your dealer not get any of them.

That said, watching the allocation may give an idea of the direction they are going with constraints. After watching it for a couple of months, seems like they go from 0 to like 30 to like 100 to like 200 some and then the constraint is lifted. Once it starts moving that that direction, it seem like it takes a month or two before it’s lifted. While it’s in the 30-200 range, it’s almost like winning the lottery to have your order selected.

@selectsplat thanks for your diligence in watching all this stuff. A guy can make himself crazy trying to keep track of it all. It feels somewhat good to have pulled the trigger and got on the list.
