Doing some maintenance on my new to me Yukon and had an interesting find with the air filter. The replacement filter part number noted in the user manual appears to be a "high capacity" version (read: more pleats, thus, increased surface area). This may be common knowledge, but I thought I'd share.

OE on the left.

Since you mentioned it- I paid $49 for the K&N filter for my 2003 Tahoe. Was it a good idea or a bad idea? Seem's like "a good set of lungs" is a great idea,,,,

If you keep it clean and don't over oil it. Seems over oiling can have adverse affects on the MAF sensor.
