GM parts direct sucked for this! I ended up paying my dealer to do the swap. You will have to get the ends painted to match your truck regardless. I'll try to get pics posted tomorrow. The part numbers were :

25996380 "rail kit"
25996381 "rail kit"
15838222 "rail", 2 of these
15916756 "plate" , 4 of these
11609900 "bolt" , 10 of these

Total was $661 dollars and they comp'ed me the paint match on the end caps that come grey and installed it all for an hour of labor. One of the best mods I've done. Anyone need a brand new stock roof rack cheap?

Would I need all of that if I just want the side rails and not the cross rails? So none of the current bolts, plates etc can be reused to save dough?

You do NOT need the (2) 15838222 "rails" if you don't want crossbars.

Also, you do NOT need any of the (10) bolts listed above, as you reuse your existing bolts.

You WILL need the rest.

The $661 had to have included the cross rails and the painting and the labor. I want to say that the rails were @ $150, and the painting and labor will vary.

Whatever you do, do NOT pay for the removal and reinstallation of this rack. This mod is so straight forward, easy, and quick that it's a complete waste of money to pay someone else to do it. Really.

Really.

That is correct, I listed everything including the cross rails. This did not include the painting, and $45.00 was worth it for the install because I was there getting the parts and an oil change. Don't know about the bolts. GM parts direct sounds really cheap until you actually order this stuff. First, they could not help me with these part numbers, and they aren't much on taking things back. Second, they absolutely **** you on freight, that's where they make up for the "cheap" prices they quote for things. Now that I've posted the correct part numbers, I'm sure you can do better than what I paid, but I would check with your local dealer before blindly ordering from GM parts direct.

Good advice. I tend to just use GMParts to see what ballpark I'm in. Then, I do well with my local parts guy.
