Yes it is
You have to remove the arms completely and press out the old bushing.
That's the hardest part

If you have an actually press it makes things a hell of a lot easier, but you can always get creative if you don't have one. You're definitely looking at half a days work if you've never done them before.

The process or replacing the bushings is involved... a press makes it a lot easier.

As stated earlier, if you have to be creative...

  • you can burn out the rubber ones - they'll pop right out (will be a bit messy and require some clean-up).
  • pressing in the new poly bushings is recommended - if you don't have a press, you can use a large c-clamp with the appropriate fittings

If you live in a salt roads region then be prepared for frozen attaching bolts at the control arm bushing attachment areas. This can turn in to a nightmare if they are frozen. Have plenty of PB Blaster at the ready. When you do get them off you can also drill out the old rubber part of the bushings if you don't melt them out. PB Blaster the hole where the bushing is pressed in and when you get them out make sure you thoroughly clean the arm bushing hole and you can grease that area when you press the new bushings in the make easier. C-clamps and presses make it all easier like TigerEyz3 and Yukoncount said. Having a trusted shop do it is even easier. A good one will prep like I stated. Clean everything else like upper arm cams, all bolts, all nuts and mount areas. Lube the ball joints while in there and if they are old enough replace them while you are at it. New cotter pins.
