Yup, that is why I converted mine to one of the wood grains. It was cheaper overall to convert that horizontal dash trim for the entire dashboard, than to buy a new brushed aluminum DIC hole.

This one is a complete brushed aluminum assembly.........so this DIC is gonna cost you. But it's a great DIC. Many will envy it.

The wood makes the DIC look bigger.
