Curious as well. I remember reading before someone who suggested that the 4l60 liked a little overfill.

I hope that is correct as I was given the incorrect capacity by dealer and it's over the full mark now. I'm just glad I stopped to check before I added the exact amount that was recommended. Grr.

My work van with the 4l80 is at least a qt over--if not a little more. It's shifting a little hard, but all the gears are there. Has 125,000 on it. I can't afford to blow this one up.
