Has anyone ever heard a vacuum/pump noise running just after starting? I started my 17 Tahoe and drove it from my parking spot to the grocery store doors to load and heard a loud vacuum/pump running in the rear. I have since heard it a couple times.

It's the compressor for your leveling suspension/shocks. Look underneath behind the LR wheel.

Mine does it all the time. I think the way these are programmed, if you level the front and take away the rake the rear leveling system constantly is trying to correct itself. When I leveled the front on my truck it was running constantly, I then spoke with one of the suspension guys here on this forum and I ordered from him some Belltech rear spacers...I think I did 1" or 1.5" and that brought the rear back up a bit and now it only comes on when I first start the truck and then it shuts off. This actually helped out also with seeing out my rearview mirror, when the truck was leveled it seemed to drop the top of the back window down when looking out the back, lifting the rear regained the distance I view through the mirror.
