Ive been using invisicord for 3 years. Never had any issue

I tapped into the wire on the passenger side of the dashboard for my V1. Pop the plastic cover off, and IIRC it's the yellow and black wire (you can check it with a voltage meter or test light). There is also bolt into the frame right next to it which makes a perfect ground connection.

I've always found an ignition hot behind the dash on my trucks and installed a cigarette lighter in the dash. Then ran the V1 cord up through the a pillar, and tucked it under the headliner to the mirror.
