Pretty simple. Mine was a '16 Denali, so yours maybe slightly different.

From laying on your back under the fog light, you'll be able to reach up and into the area behind the fog light. By feel you will find the back of the fog light bulb, 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pull straight back and the bulb will release from the fog light housing. Once removed from the housing there is enough slack in the wiring to move the bulb closer to you and within eyesight. Now with your other hand you should be able to reach up and depress the locking clip on the wiring harness near the base of the bulb, this will release the bulb from the wiring harness. Do just the opposite to reinstall with the LED bulb.

It is a little tight getting under the vehicle and getting both hands on the harness but I'm a big guy and was able to do it without too much trouble. About 5 minutes a side and you should be good to go.

If you have a bad back... by the wheel/tire plastic cover. There are about 3 or 4. 7" mm bolts. Take those off and easy to get them thru there. I got some pictures on one of threads.

Yes, OEM bulb is AC Delco Part #13582913 which is around 26w which calculates out to just over a 2 amp draw.

26 watts / 12.5 volts = 2.08 amps

These Vanquish Auto 50w bulbs calculate out to a 4 amp draw.

50 watts / 12.5 volts = 4.00 amps

The lights are wired in parallel with 14 gauge wire (standard for most automotive lighting). As you can see from the chart below the amperage is still well within the safe range for a 4 amp draw.

The fog lamps on my 2016 Denali are connected by themselves through the Engine Compartment Fuse Panel position 94 which is fused at 15 amps. 15 amps is typically the minimum amperage rating you will find on any automotive lighting circuit as you can see this also correlates with the chart below as to the maximum amperage a 14 gauge circuit can safely hold within the wiring distances typically found in the engine compartment.

Did they throw much more
Light than the 26w crees? I have 26w and figured the 50w would get too hot or throw an error code.

They definitely put out a crisper, whiter light (claims to be 6000k, appears closer to 5500k), which also throws a greater distance. I wouldn't say 2 times as far but noticeably farther than the stock halogen bulbs.

As for the wattage, there really isn't concern for heat or error codes on these. The LED lamps are built out of aluminum to dissipate the heat. After market DRL and Fog LED lamps typically come in either the 30w (4 side, 2 end LEDs), 50w (8 side, 2 end LEDs) or 80w (12 side, 4 end LEDs) versions. You can read reviews from different manufacturers and all different wattage on Amazon and I couldn't find one that mention throwing any codes or heat issues. The 1 star ratings typically refer to lamps burning out or falling apart too quickly. So as long as they stand behind their 3 year warranty everything should be fine.

No issues. The fog beam is much flatter (aimed more at the ground directly in front of the vehicle) and doesn't throw light as far out in your line-of-sight as a typical low beam would. I will also say because of the way they are aimed it does not appear they would be as bright to oncoming traffic as the low beam bulbs either. I will try and get some comparison pics fog lights vs low beams tonight.

I was looking to get my bulbs here but I noticed on their site that they have a brighter set. Wondering if I should go with the 50w or the more expensive ones that are much brighter supposedly. Any input is appreciated!!!
