Nope we didn't disturb the negative ground strap. But we will look at today. Thanks! When my 09 acted up with weird electronic issues, I found the factory crimping on the negative battery terminal was loose. It appeared normal, till I tugged on the wire and it practically came out of the terminal. When you changed the sensor, did you disturb the ground strap back there, the one that attaches to the head and the hood?
If it has never done this before, Than keep it simple, The oil pressure "switch" you are referring to is located in back of the intake manifold? Whoever performed the maint were they laying on the main fuse box on the drivers side of the engine comp? lift the front/rear bails and and than reclamp them. Also while someone is holding the key in start, tweak the positive/negative cables at the battery. Your starter has a dedicated "home run" cable from the positive battery post to the starter the key simply actuates the solenoid. im lost here, what filter was removed to gain access to a pressure switch? was the starter removed to drop the pan?
Check the fuses for the PCM
Sounds like your battery is toast. We had to connect up some jumper cables from my truck to their battery, because it was dead. We had the cables on for about 20 minutes, then removed them and started troubleshooting, but then the battery drained down to about 5 VDC. Do you think that the battery is too weak and needs to be replaced?
12 volt lead acid battery should never read 5 volts. Start with a new battery. the fact that it would not turn over with a jump, indicates you should not get your hopes up that it will start. but your battery is toast, start there. This past Saturday I did remove the fuse box by use of the front and rear bails and looked for corrosion on all the terminals and then replaced it. We will tweak the positive and negative battery cables while my son in law tries to crank the engine over. There was no filter removed to gain access to the pressure switch. We are getting the code of U01-100 (Loss of Communications to the ECM/PCM). Could this be a security lockout issue? If it is, will we have to take the vehicle to the dealership so that they can hook up their computer to it and see what codes are showing up?
