Vette servo brass washer?

In the middle of switching.
Stock when removed has a brass or goldish washer , my vette replacement didn't come with one.
Do I put back or its not needed?

I saw a thread about this... I think on GMFS, can't remember exactly, but it think it was determined that washer was part of a previous "upgrade" with a shift kit or something and not needed for the vette servo.

Thanks. I got it put back together.
I did not put the original washer back.
Didn't make sense to send me everything except that.
Wasn't bad. Clearance is tight. But I think getting the snap ring back in and seated took the longest

I had to run out for fluid to add, lost about a quart during the install.
True to the claims. 1-2 slip is gone.
In fact jumps into second quite nicely.

Were did you get your replacement and is anything else needed to install this.No reprogramming

I got mine off eBay. But I know there are allot of sources.
No programming needed. But I wanted it done before my time.
Pretty straight forward. Immidiate gratification for like $30

Consensus seems to be that the best source is Oregon Performance. No tuning necessary, as it is a mechanical upgrade. Better for the trans, too. Less slipping=less wear. It is a good idea to do it before your tune (if that's also on your docket), so the new shift firmness can be accounted for. Justin @ BBP told me if it's in before the tune, great... Otherwise if it was something that was for sure happening, he could preemptively adjust for it.

I'm on the list for 11/12. That's why I wanted it in this weekend to be trouble free.
