stay posted lol, I'm saving money for a trans rebuild either way, I know it's coming, especially after the supercharger goes on. I've got about 114k on my hoe, ran nothing but redline synthetics though and changed it often.

Take it for what it's worth, but a few members here have had issues installing a servo (or servo set) in a high mileage tranny (100-110k+). When I did my research before I had mine built out completely (3 times I might add LOL), shops that were building racing 4l60e's and a tranny parts wholesaler told me it's about a 30% chance you will have a problem post servo install if that's the only high performance piece you install.

Ugh. Something to look forward to.

What kind of post-servo-install problems are we talking? Stuff that's fixable with the old servo, or more permanent pull-the-tranny problems?

Rebuild time for the ones who did have a problem if I recall. Some have had problems with installing the servo itself but that is a different issue. The issue with installing just new high perf servos is that you change the dynamics in a tranny and now risk stressing out even further the parts that are already high mileage worn. Everything I've read and the guys I talked to say its about a 30% chance like I said earlier, the odds are in your favor but it's high risk in my opinion. If you blow your tranny, you can always find a used one if you can't cough up 2-3k to rebuild.

For the vette servo, it's just a simple take old out, put new in. I think the pin stuff is for 4th gear stuff...

I think it would be a good idea to drop/clean the pan and change your filter also especially if you have high miles on the tranny. My 03 has 160k on it and the oil looked like burnt sludge. Rather than a forced flush I did 3 pan drops to swap in new fluid and so far so good.

swapped it out, shifts a lot better.. no problems yet with 116k. Going to drop a deeper pan in when I get the chance.

if you get it tuned, and they up the line pressure, the servo really enhances it even more noticeable.
