Hey guys smoking the tails and 3rd tomorrow with some vht nightshades and wondering if you guys have any tips or anything really want this to come out perfect like glass!

VHT is garbage have them done professionally

Nightshades are budget trash. Most of the time look just as good as professionally tinted tails at first, as long as they are painted with the right painting techniques (like clean environment, sanding, light coats, etc.)
They start to look like shit after a few months and some sun.

There are people at body shops that will do it for you for less than $50 and it will look like glass. tell them 80% clear, 20% gloss black and they put make it as dark as you want by adding extra coats.

VHT only looks good if you use clear coat after. If you don't clear them it looks dull. If you don't do them too dark (too dark looks cheap...looks better when you can see a bit of the lense color still ie. red) and add several coats of clear coat after they will look very good. I've used it many times. Just take your time and do LIGHT coats allowing plenty of dry time so you dont get drips. You can get a professional finish if you take your time.
Incidentally, mine are not done with VHT...I bought them tinted.
