VIN says 4x4 but I see no 4x4 Switch

As someone said if u have title in hand, look at vins all over truck and see if anything 'looks' like it was recently removed, scratched out....or off.....look at rivetsnon vin plate on dash do tgey look newer or different?

I think someone on here deleted the AWD in their Denali. So it'll have the K vin but only be 2wd. It's possible that a previous owner could've done that, but to have that be pretty much the only mod is very suspicious.

That's a lot of work to remove it all. Different transmission and driveshaft. Different front spindles. I'm not positive on the Tahoe, but on my 99 Astro AWD, the transfer case had three wire connectors on it. They were used for wheel speed sensors. If the Tahoe has the same transfer case those wires would still be dangling there. I could be comparing apples to oranges and talking out of my ass though. :)
