Vinyl wrapping!

I have for some time planned to wrap my Tahoe in 3M Matte Black vinyl.
The local shop that does it here wants 4500 US $, so I have decided I will try to do it myself.

Should all of the truck be black matte? Or should I maybe add some carbon fiber look somewhere?
Maybe the hood or somewhere else?

Yes. Welcome to Norway if you dare.
That is why I want to do it myself. 3M folie from eBay will cost me 680 US $ for the whole truck (only).

Make sure you study up on different ways to install vinyl. It is not as easy as putting stickers on. Not saying you cannot do it but saying to make sure you have a good idea before you start.

I have, and still am.

a heat gun and a felt squegee is highly recommended. the heat gun will really help in molding around the contours and the felt will keep the vinyl from scratching up while laying it. keeping the vinyl pulled tight will help keep from getting wrinkles and bubbles in the vinyl.
and if you haven't bought any vinyl yet may i suggest you get a vinyl with a air release backing. it will help you along the way and is a lot easier to work with, if you by chance get to going and didn't notice you had a couple bubbles the air release has groves on the back side which allow you to push the bubbles out pretty easily.
