Hello!
I am new to the form, although I have been on before to search for help and browse pics, but I have a question. I have recently purchased add-ons for my 2000 Yukon's viper system (5901). I had the system installed about a year ago by BestBuy, and due to some recent theft in my area, I have decided I want to get as much protection as possible. I have purchased a tilt sensor, glass break, backup battery, backup siren, as well as an additional shock sensor. I know that some ppl have said that they were able to install some of these themselves, but I wanted to hear if it actually can be done. At the moment, I'm thinking BestBuy will probably be where I'll end up going, but if I can save some money by doing it myself then I would much rather do that.
Any help is appreciated. From what I understand, these add-ons seem to be almost like a "plug and play" type of accessory. I just don't know where the best places to mount them or if it would be better to just pay BestBuy. Has anyone had BestBuy do something similar? If so, how much did they charge and how long did it take? And is adding an additional shock sensor possible?
Thanks for your help!
