Well, got time to take the oil pan off. Had mixed emotions about the sludge at the bottom until Iooked up at the crank and saw it was immaculate inside the engine. We had a little bit of what seemed like water, but may have been separated oil from sitting for so long. Definitely going to prime the block with my drill to flush it out and get things lubed up. Going to be slow progress over the next week or so since we got delayed on the dang engine mounts.

That sludge looks serious! But that crank and caps look great--like you said. Just for the hell of, check any of the bearings for wear?
