Ok I ll try seafoam but someone is telling me to put 20w50 oil it will gueit it down since it has 150k miles I'm not sure if it's a good idea to run 20w50 what do u think
you can also run rotella diesel oil for a few changes. see if that helps too. different/better properties than standard motor oil. the thicker oil is just a cover up and more for rod knock or piston pin slapping.
do the seafoam in the crankcase, fuel tank and vacuum line a few times. run the rotella for a few oil change cycles. see what happens. it wont hurt anything and cheap enough to try.
They love seafoam because the exhaust smokes. Literally a smoke screen. My truck was well cared for, and very clean everywhere when I bought it. In overall better then average condition. It had a very minor oil pan leak, and I decided to replace the gasket. Here's what was inside: And remember, a cleaner like seafoam will dislodge all this crap and send it through your engine.
