Hey guys. Newer poster and I am fed up with www.vvme.com HID kits. I have been dealing with them for the last 3 years. I order kits for all my club guys and friend and family. Its like clock work. The 55 watt kits, the bulbs turn yellow in a bout 9 months, and the 35 watt 10k kits..... well you can forget it. I have gone through 4 880 foglight bulbs in 6 months. Yeah they are warrantied but overseas shipping is no cost justification!

This HIDguy.... is his lights better? does he have a good warranty? I have 4 vehicles 1 being an 04 Yukon. They all have HID"s in them. I am willing to switch my business to home if I can get the feel for this Hidguy!

Thanks fellas!

I would also switch my bulb color to something actually visible like 4300-6000k

You dont like the 10k? I've had the best luck with them out here in the country. I can pick up reflection from the deers eyes about 250 yards away.

Have you ever driven in a car with OEM hids on it? They are more crisp and clean. Brighter and you'll see farther with a 4300-4500.

I didn't know much about HID setups except the OEM ones not aftermarket and bought a setup that was 10000k after a day I was tired of the glare. Swapped for 6000k. Those are still to much glare went 5000k and are great close to OEM color. 10000k is good f you want everyone to see you but your vision is not improved by them. They just are super blue.

Nope, I have never driven an OEM vehicle with factory HID's. Since i have owned minitrucks thats all I have ran. In MN we have crazy rodents, deer, coyotes, bears that just like to wonder on the road and fast wild turkeys that like to play chicken. My 10k's pick up the reflection of their iris's from a mile away. I guess I might have to order a set to see if their is a likable difference for me since all I have done is 10k,........

the higher the Kelvin scale the more intense the color. However less usable light on the road. You should try out a 5-8k, you might be pleasantly surprised and oncoming traffic would probably be a bit happier too

Are your 1000000000k kits installed with relays?

Just know, the higher the Kelvin the lower the visibility period.

BTW: I have owned VVME and DDM and never had an issue with either brand, then again I don't plug n play my kits. Those who do usually Fail, just like their lights will very soon.

Yes, I have had Hid's for about 3yrs now and installed in about 15 different vehicles. ALWAYS have done relays and a harness except for foglights which I have just spliced in...

^^ Thats because there is more strain in your eyes with bluer lights, I saw a review and it was said that the drivers vision with the bluer lights was more fatigued than the driver with the lights closer to natural sunlight.

Use the harness there too, that wiring is too thin 55w HIDS.
