So, after endless searching of recommended shocks on forums and trying 3 different brands. Here is what I have to say. Not trying to start an argument but hopefully this saves someone from time of trying to figure out whats best for them. Any questions please ask. Thanks
KYB Monomax: Please stay away from these shocks unless you have a plow on your front end, or a heavy trailer is hooked up to your ass end 24/7. If not you will feel every hairline crack in the road. When they say "heavy duty" they mean ******* business.
Bilstein 4600 HD: I think people need to pump the brakes on hyping these up because they are not the best thing since sliced bread. If you hit hunting trails and the backwoods up north at your cabin often, along with a good amount of towing, these shocks will do great for you, no question about it. I just didnt get the same comfy ride everyone said they did. Maybe its because of the ****** roads in WI. But still I found the ride a little harsher than I would have liked.
Monroe Sensa Tracs: What I'm currently running and am keeping. If anybody is overlooking these because they see all the negative reviews on them on different forums halt. Because they are not bad like everyone claims them to be. Ride is extremely comfortable and I HIGHLY recommend you make the purchase on these if you are on the fence about them. I occasionally tow a buddies boat when we take it out and the shocks do me just fine.
