Had a chance to install the husky mats this weekend (front, 2nd and 3rd row).

These things are awesome!!! I've never owned weathertechs so I can't compare but I really like the Husky weatherbeaters.

Thanks hosseface for the review and detailed photos. Much appreciated.

Which part number are you guys using for the cargo mat from Husky? I just got mine and it's about 6" too short. Loaded with Christmas presents it was sliding front to back at every intersection. Part number 28221 is what I have.

I've figured out 28211 is the correct part number and ordered one. eBay seller is taking mine back but it's costing me $30 in return shipping. Ugh.

UPDATE: It's amazing what being nice and asking does. Sent a message to ebay seller about the insane shipping and they are giving me a refund for the mat plus return shipping.

Have been a Weathertech fan for years, but after seeing the photos and reading the reviews in this thread, I went with the Huskys. They just arrived and I have a few questions - the cargo area mat - does that fit anyone's cargo area well? Mine is for behind the 3rd row, and 3 sides have a lip but the end where the liftgate is does not (which is OK for me) BUT it sticks out at least 2 inches and the liftgate will not close.

Also, for the 2nd row, my hump area sticks up at least an inch - this is not good as I will have many kids in and out - dirt as well as shoes can get stuck under something sticking out so high...has anyone else noticed that with their Husky Weatherbeaters?

Heat gun

PA-yukon,
I have the front, 2nd and 3rd row mats and did have to massage them a in two spots with a heat gun. I had to get the 3rd row foot area to lay flat and adjusted one hump by the entrance area to the 3rd row. Worked really well for me.

Does anyone have a photo of the Husky Weatherbeaters installed for front, second row with captain's chairs and third row? I got the WeatherTech ones and they are fine but the front passenger side is curling up. That started after only 2 weeks. WeatherTech will take them back but I would really like to see detailed pics of how the Husky liners fit so I can compare before sending these back and ordering the Husky liners. I don't have a place here where I can go look at them in person. I like how I have full coverage with the WeatherTech as I have 3 kids and refuse to ruin the carpet like my last vehicle. I've seen some closeup pics but looking for more pics of how the second and third row are covered. If these pics are on here and I missed them, please let me know. Thanks!

I actually had ordered the Husky Weatherbeaters and I just sent them back in exchange for the Weathertechs. Have always had Weathertechs but based on this thread I went with the Huskys. Wish I didn't.

The first row liners were OK (a little skimpy on the coverage IMHO) but they fit. The 2nd row was off - at the hump it stuck up a good 1.5" (see photo below). It went all the way to the doors so there was no where for it to really stretch into. The 3rd row coverage was OK.

My cargo liner was awful - stuck out over 2" and could not close my liftgate. I was very disappointed with the fit so I returned them. Weathertechs should be here later this week. I too have many kids going in and out and the fact that the 2nd row liner stuck up so high meant two things - kids tripping and dirt getting underneath. Weathertech has a one piece 2nd & 3rd row liner which I'm hoping will fit much better.

Hope that helps - here are the photos I took of the poor fit:

Wow! These pics are exactly what I was looking for and they definitely don't look like a good fit. If you don't mind, could you update the thread or send me a PM when you get the WeatherTechs to let me know how you think the fit compares? Now, I have the Weathertech but it isn't one piece. I didn't see that as an option. Mine is 2 pieces and there is a little bit of a spot where it sticks up where the 2nd and 3rd row meet but nothing like your photos. I am interested to know why I didn't see the 1 piece as an option for mine. I have the Yukon Denali SWB, not XL.

Hi Nemloc - I ordered my mats from AutoAnything (they usually have a discount going on) - Husky part numbers were 28221, 19281, and 99211.

Steph230 - I will post pics of my WeatherTechs when they get here...they are supposed to ship by Tuesday so hopefully here within a week. I know they just recently came out with the one piece for 2nd & 3rd rows - just checked WeatherTech's website and it looks like they only offer the 1 piece for XL's only...that's strange... :(

Another note on the Husky's - all the floor mats (not cargo liner) have little pointy nubs that help keep the mat in place. However those nubs go all the way to the very edge of the mat - where it overlays the door sill and the Denali metal inlay. I didn't like that for 2 reasons - it made it stick up a bit at the door sill, and it could end up scratching over time the Denali inlay. Also made picking them up and moving them painful, even with gloves on, since they are so pointy.
