Hello everyone im new and this is my first post. As the title states i have a few issues and the search feature did not bring up anything for me so Ill lay em out here and maybe someone can save my sanity.

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe 2 door 4x4 it has lil over 150k. Problems started when the stock head unit had a mind of its own and made the volume rise to ear piercingly loud to almost mumbling on its own also finding out the speakers were blown I took it to the local stereo shop and had new 6.5 compnents installed in the doors 4x10's in the back amped off my kicker ix704 with a kicker crossover. headunit is now a Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD which was a ***** to mount up. Have 2 oldschool kicker L7 12" Solobarics (first gen still alive lol) amped off a sony xplode amp from 10 or so years ago since the ix2302 that was running em set the fuzes on fire when installed in the truck.
The problem is back now.. from time to time the sound seems to just go down still audible but not on the volume I am currently listening to it. Also the driverside door speaker seems to only like working at volume 10 or up for some odd reason. This happened like 3-4 weeks after things were installed and ive taken it back to get checked out and they dont know whats up because it doesnt do it for them. i have no Idea whats wrong.
And on a totally differnt note the interior lights of the truck like to strobe and flicker on occasion and it feels like im at a rave I have no Idea on what causes it to occour but it happens. it happened a month after i got the truck off and on and im worried something serious is goin on.

i apologise if these topics have been discussed before and also if my misspelling is annoying lol. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

Check all the grounds under the hood, battery connections, fuse box power wires, and alternator connections.

It sounds like a wire is loose or something.

I will have to check that today. I was debating on doing the Big 3 upgrade i saw on here in numerous threads.
Silly question I have never messed with the fuse box before do i just push wires back into it if they are loose?
And I do have a tiny kinetic battery in the cargo area grounded to one of the cargo hooks could that be a bad ground location as well?
Sorry for the onslaught of questions just want to get them out there!

unknown at this time.
There are wire bundles behind the kick panels that feed speaker wires to the doors and a bundle as well that goes up the A-pillar on left side of windshields. you should inpects those for damage.

I never thought to check the kickpanels or the a pillers. I looked at the battery connections and they are snug. Checked alternator power wire its dirty but connected propperly. The fuze box connections seem ok. Ill check those spots as soon as I have some time... thank you so much I will keep posted on the goings on :)

Been quite a while since I last posted alot of nonsence going on. But I did pull apart the trim on the driver side and looked under the kick panel and the wire bundles look intact and in decent shape. Didnt mess with the A-pillar since im not to keen on prying that off lol. So on a whim I decided to pull off the dash bezel and see if maybe there is a loose connection to my headunit. Well i quickly discovered a solution to my one problem i almost forgot about the antenna wire wasnt installed in it so no fm am stations solved. but as far as speaker wires hooked up there are no speaker wires connected to the head unit but there is a single rca wire going back to my clarion crossover which is hooked up to my 4 channel amp and sub amp. Could the issu be with the amp itself? I asked myself these things earlier while pacing back and fourth kicking a rubbermaid trashcan to help me think. im leaning twords doing the big 3 and starting over myself at this point but i dunno just angry with it atm.

Been a while since last posting on this topic. Work and money issues get in the way alot of the time.
Did the big 3 upgrade with 1/0 guage wire electrical system seems to be at 14 volts most of the time which is nice but the speaker problem persists. No visible drop of voltage when it happens. Top it off I think i fried my hvac unit like Monstar posted lol.

Im starting to look angrily at the 4 channel amp as the cause for the sound fluctuations. Also did research on the deck and see there is a grounding issue with some pioneers and some have grounded their rca cables.... Never had any issue installing stereo stuff in anything when i did it myself.... Guess thats what i will do from now on lol
