Livebai8, seems we are in the same area, and same issue. My '03 Tahos has similar issue. Very intermittent issue. Sometime the driver gets in, all lights work, alarm, interior lights, radio on, dash and instruments light up, all work. Put the key in and turn it and NOTHING at all happens. No clicks, nothing. No lights dim, no solenoid click, radio keep playing if on etc.. Wiggle the key, the column shifter, and turn the steering wheel back and forth a bit, in and out with the key, and almost all the time one of those seems to make it happen. Instant crank and run. I cannot replicate it in a shop or show it to a tech. It just does it when it wants. I am of the opinion it is in the ignition key assembly somehow.

Yes...mine did/does the same thing...intermittently. the last episode several days ago I just turned the key on and off in rapid succession and it finely cranked. All else did exactly the same...all gauges responded, radio turned on, headlights not weak so i surmise it's the ignition switch as well. Where are you and when do you plan on doing the part change?

I know I've asked before but i have now had the same issue two mornings in a row...after you tube and parts searching it looks like the gm part is an entire assembly where as on YouTube the only part being replaced is a switch the assembly plugs into. Has anyone else done this fix? Which route did you go? I'd like to just replace the switch and not the entire harness but can't seem to find the switch part number. The ones I do find say they won't fit my 02 Tahoe? Any ideas?3e0231acc67904f7bf3656a783866fee.jpg10362a8e5098e1a813a2fff2c3405940.jpg
