Microprocessor. Aka chip.

My 22 z71 was built last Thursday 10/7 with all chips and is fully built, but is upheld in a QA check workflow, allegedly. GM chat is not helpful nor is selling dealer. For a 75k vehicle you’d assume we’d get updates on the hour…

Just curious, when did you place your order for your 22 ? I have an order in but only placed it on 10/1 so I'm not sure how far down the line I am, ha.

Well good news bad news for me. Truck was built Monday and now on MP hold. So apparently a non constrained 2022 really is constrained by MP’s
Very disappointing news. I was under the impression that once an order was picked up by GM and moved to 3400 status, all parts (including chips) were accounted for and the vehicle would be built. I guess that is not the case. I placed an order for a '22 Denali in early September and it was accepted by GM immediately. So far, everything has gone according to plan with a TPW of 10/11 like you. Did GMC or your dealer inform you of the chip constraint? Any idea on the length of delay?

My order went in the first day orders were open for 22. Looks like it was a Sat start Mon finish build. So one of the first 2022’s. Dealer let me know 8am Monday morning it was in chip jail.

I have found chat very unhelpful. I either check with my dealer or Linton on gminsidenews Chevrolet order tracking

Luckily, I got a pretty helpful GMC chat representative. I was told my Yukon has been produced (she gave me the VIN number) and is currently waiting to be picked up by the carrier. However, she then told me that the vehicle still needs to undergo quality checks. Since the event code given to me was 3800 (order produced - VIN is available) and not 4000 (vehicle available to ship), I am not sure how it could be waiting to be picked up. If it was waiting to be picked up, I would think the code would be 4000. I asked specifically if there were any chip holds and she had no idea and to check with the dealer.

Question - would a VIN be assigned if it were waiting for chips?
