Cons if you don't go slow and slowly go up on jets you may make it go boom. Might be hard to find a refill station. Pros it's fun I'm slapping a zex kit on my prelude

Cons? . . . hitting the button all of the time. . . . Driving around all of the time with a tune that has less timing in it.

I have Headers, CAI, Underdrive, Full Exhaust, with comp cams .607/.614 219/227 112LSA and PRC dual springs, and of course BBP Tune. Dynoed at 348hp to the wheels.
Cam swap cost a little over a grand with fluids and gaskets, I did the work myself.
Next I will be doing 3000-3200 Circle D converter, E-fans, Longtubes, then 4.10s
You will need to do SOMETHING to your trans though. HD2 Shift kit, Corvette Servo, Bigger Trans cooler. I have the servo and the Tru-Cool 40K
With a 1K budget in mind I'd start with a cam and get it re-tuned. Then starting putting monies aside for trans upgrades.....start throwing too much power at these and your stock driveline components won't last long. Also look into maybe stopping quicker/better
Oh yea you have a NNBS. Do you have a 6 speed or a 4 speed? You also will be making more hp since you run 91 octane, I run 88
If you have an 09 w/ the six speed, can't do the vette servo. There are other options out there as far as shift kits and tuning, but honestly if you are planning on getting into the 350-400rwhp range, I'd plan for a trans rebuild w/ better hard parts sooner rather than later. If you're not hot rodding the truck everywhere you'll be fine for a while, but the trans should be the next thing you focus on after cam and stall are done.
But remember 350 wheel hp is about 420 crank hp.
