IMO, 6000K looks a little blue. I don't think you can go above 4800K without starting to see blue actually. Visibility starts to deteriorate after 4300K, though admittedly 6000K is still a lot more light than a standard halogen and not substantially less than 4300K. I have 4300K Xenon HIDs in my BMW with matching fogs and it is pure white and very bright. 10000K seems to be a very popular color but the 4300K temp is something like 40% brighter than 10000K and much less eye strain (and also less offensive to other drivers).

I have 4500k in the denali 5000k in the lincoln. Both are DDM kits, and I do not notice a difference.

+1 I bought some 9006 bulbs for $15 to use on my stock headlights while I get the retrofit done at the end of this month to some RX projectors with TSX-R clear lenses....

The bulbs that are both hi/low and a couple of other ones are $25....

I have 8000K and wish I had 6000K
the fact is not all pictures will be the same...most cameras that people are using on here to snap pics have terrible meeting screens and dont really get accurate white balance readings so you could take a pic of 10,000K lights and it might look white
I say 6000K on down is the blue cutoff...

here is 35w 6k.. i really like them, slightly blue..
