No, they've been weird for a long time.

I don't know about the rest of you but mine requires both hands to get it lined up and stuffed in there and I especially like the need to stick it in twice with a wipe off in between, to check the proper color and depth. It is very satisfying to do this procedure.

You have to tap the top part of entry a few times, then it allows easier access

My dipstick’s been brown a time or two but it cleans right up. I’d be worried if it stayed brown though…might be putting it in the wrong hole too much.
