What could this be.....

Alright so today I started my day using the heat in my 2004 Yukon which worked as it should but as the day went on I switched it over to AC but it continued to blow heat out of the drivers side vents only. I shut the whole system down and later in the day went to turn on the heat again but this time it would only blow cold air out of the vents only on the drivers side once again even though I shut the AC off. What could be causing this?

Having the same issues, only with the rear ventilation in mine. I installed a new actuator to address a weird noise, and now the hot/cold is pretty much screwed. Not sure what's up with it at this point and the temps are right in that range where it's hard to tell if the A/C is actually on or it's just cool air blowing through....

Right on....given the sheer volume of Tahoes and Yukons up here, I would think there would be more Alaskans on here. You are the third that I know of including me. I'm in Anchorage also.

Alright so since you live up here in Alaska where do you go to buy all your parts or modification items that you have done to your Yukon? I know when I look online the shipping stops me from ordering a lot of items.

I haven't modded much on mine, really, other than the lights. But, I get parts as I need them from whoever has the best deal. The blend actuator I just replaced was about $40 online + shipping. Got it here at NAPA for $50ish. That's the exception, though. Most parts are locally way more expensive and you can almost always find a better deal with good shipping somewhere on the internet. There really isn't any one source, you just have to put in the research to find the best deals.

Even tires and rims can be cheaper online with shipping than getting them locally. Local markup here is ridiculous. I saved $300+ dollars by ordering my Blizzaks off of Tirerack instead of getting them here, but on the other hand, my summer Cooper Zeon LTZ's were cheaper to get at American Tire on Old Seward. Go figure.

Yeah almost all the items here locally are outrageous!! I bought my new plug wires and brake pads online which were cheaper. I went to NAPA yesterday and bought new spark plugs and asked him about the CAI's that they carry which was only the K&N but the price was way to high for me. I was just wondering in general where you got parts since the prices here were so high. I am debating on whether or not to install a CAI on my Yukon right now but am just not to sure if I really want to do that.
