Used to make that run in about 24 hours in the truck and 17 hours by car with minimal stops. Last time we sat in Jersey for hours and hours. Always try to time the runs so the major cities are traversed outside of their rush hours. Don't even try to run straight through anymore, Lumberton, NC is where we call it a day and rest for the night.

My first stop is Savannah as I have a friend in Statesboro who comes over to Savannah when I come thru. Second stop is in Virginia. I have to make reservations for Savannah as the hotel [Hampton Inn in Port Wentworth] is generally all filled up by 5PM. There is a restaurant called the Sweet Tea Grille near there that is awesome!!
