Yesterday I got new tires. Today I added 1.25inch spacers until I can get new wheels. Gives it a more aggressive look and keeps my new tires from rubbing on my new upper control arms. So now it's has the 3.5" lift up front. 3" in the back. 33" tires.

Jump started my truck yesterday. Sat for 2 weeks and clicked when I hit the ignition. Started right up with a jump and no problems the rest of the day. I’m just gonna replace the battery since I have no idea of its age and will also do the +/- cables and grounds since at 105k they’re due if they haven’t been done. Not sure how to inspect these cables for inside corrosion.

other than a ohm test or voltage drop test there isn't much else unless they just look funky or are bulging somewhere

On my Quick Look see during the jump, nothing stood out. I’ll give them a thorough inspection but will probably replace them with the battery for peace of mind.
the starter cable is the one that usually has the most issue's because it get's burnt right at the connection to the starter due to not enough insulation. replaced mine already it was looking pretty cooked right there, others have had it start touching on the heatshield and causing electrical problems

I had my superchips programmer out yesterday to tweak some settings. it was 87 outside. After the tweaking, the outside temp said 32. I check, nope it didn’t flip settings to C.

Got home and parked it overnight. This morning it read correctly. Hmmm, weird.

the outside temp sensor can do that if it is reset, after 5-10 minutes of driving at 55mph it should self correct.

IMG_0112.jpegPut Armoral on all the doors, dash, doors panels, and hatch rubber to keep it fresh. Sprayed some ceramic spray on the hood to prepare for summer. I put trim coat on the side steps, lower front bumper, & rear bumper. Jay Leno conditioner is awesome for the leather. My 2018 Escalade looks like it left the showroom. The k2xx has much better quality the previous generation. If you keep on top of it you can keep it for many years. I have 107k now and my truck doesn’t have a spec of rust. I do live in Texas.
