Took the badges off on Saturday and gave it a detail on Sunday. First vehicle of ours I’ve washed and waxed in 8ish years… what a huge vehicle lol. And an fyi to everyone thinking of rebadging; the rubber adhesive wheels work great BUT be very careful. The paint on our hatch was super thin and as soon as I hit the adhesive a chunk of paint came off with it, see the last pic. It was the last one too. So I have more of a reason to get the grill and chrome trim painted black.View attachment 369458View attachment 369461View attachment 369462View attachment 369460

What the shit on the paint coming off! You going to do anything about it or just place the new emblem back on?

I was already in the process of having the grill and other chrome trims quoted to paint black so now I’m including a re-spray of at least that panel, if not the whole hatch.

Purpose of the catch can?
It catches the oil recirculating through the PCV system keeps the manifold and intake clean and prevent building up in the future. I first started this when i had my turbo BMWs and one of the posts in this thread saw significant oil in their catch can so I added it.

@ItIsWhatItIs the Vossen wheels look really good! And with some new Michelin LTX's; They're great year round tires. What size tire did you go with? They look a bit bigger than stock?

Bummer on the paint coming off on the rear hatch while debadging. Did you use a heat gun at all in your process of removing the badges to soften up the adhesive?

Love those! Where did you get them?
From https://www.0fx2gv.com/ . You will likely need to email or message them on the site as they only have Sierra / Silverado listed, but they do Yukon and Tahoe as well. I looked at all the pictures they had and emailed them via the "contact us" link and asked for what I wanted. about $65.
