I got my Escalade cowl piece today to complete my antenna delete. Having that antenna hole there drove me nuts so I bought what might have been the last new part # 15287179 available. It's a discontinued part so I ended up paying over $50 for it. Ain't it pretty? Yesterday I finished up installing my MTX Thunderform enclosure, Soundstream amp and JL sub. Oh and I'm here plugging for TOTM votes too!

Man that looks clean on the cowl and stereo install. I contemplated the MTX, but went the JL Stealthbox route. Thought about adding the MTX to add a little extra as I didn't want a box in the back as I use it too much.

How do you like the sound and fit?

Got a radiator leak that can't be patched anymore going to replace it now. Should I buy new or could score a deal in a junkyard and not worry. And chevy/gmc with a 6.0 should drop right in right?

Delt with a caliper bolt coming out. The caliper scratched the inside of my wheel, the disk scratched up the inside of the caliper (between the pads) and I got a cracked disk out of the deal. Thankfully I was pulling into my work parking lot when it decided to come all the way out.

New bolt, old disks that I had traded out for new ones (they were still good, just wanted to "upgrade") and what seemed like 40 hours of my time later, all is well again...........for now
Crazy my wife just made a trip to San Antonio and as she turned down our road to get home, same sound same event. Rear caliper bracket bolt gone. Had enough time to take it off before work it looks like it's sheered off. Messed the wheel up enough can't use it.
Got tired of the low windshield fluid warnings everyday. Replaced the windshield washer pumps today. What a PITA! The rear was leaking although it still worked, but it fell apart as soon as I touched it. Reservoir was fine. Replaced both pumps since they're only like 15 bucks each and I don't wanna do this again for a long time. Got them at O'Reilleys since the ones at the other stores didn't seem to have good reviews and the ones ones there did. Get extra friction fittings if you do this haha.

The sound is great now that I got it tuned in. There are a lot of adjustments with the Soundstream amp and even more with the head unit but I think I've got it dialed in. The best I've heard out of a single 10" sub. Notice it's a JL! The fit of the Thunderform was perfect even though it wasn't supposed to fit a Denali but that's only due to the stock amp being located there. I followed someone else's advice and mounted that amp in the storage pocket. My truck had the Bose Acoustimass enclosure which has a 4 x 7 driver in a bandpass setup. It wasn't upgradeable., therefore the reason for the Thunderform.

Thx man. I saw your Bose breakdown in the other thread. Mine is an LS so no extra Bose....that void is open. I did notice the JL! Gives me some ideas for some extra boom down the track. Thx.

Had my condenser pop out 2.5 lbs of refrigerant/dye/oil all over my engine bay, rim and newly wrapped front bumper... ****** thing to happen!
$100 condenser took 30 minutes to replace at my shop but took me 2 hours to clean everything. Bumper shows streaks under UV lighting but hardly noticeable otherwise, I will still re-wrap the bumper in a few weeks! :smh:

Sitting jacked up in the back, was just checking but tear pads are ready. Does O'Reilleys still turn rotors? I doubt autozobe or advanced do

My O'Reilly still turns rotors. I usually start in the morning and pull them all off, drop the rotors off and then come back a couple hours later and reinstall it all.
