This tool sucks. Is there any better way to keep this thing from slipping?

WTF is that- a valve spring compressor? If so, it's the wrong one for an LS- based engine. I'll send you mine if you want to borrow it, as long as you send it back when you're done. USPS 2-day priority is only about $6. It looks like this and works great. PM me if you're interested. They're about $30.

I'll 2nd that tool. Works like a charm even on dual springs..just lube the threads with oil as you go so you don't gall the threads..

Damn. Wish I had that tool back in 98 when I was swapping springs in my ls1. I had a snap on much like bombsquads and a ****** compressor. Ended up dropping a valve when the ancient compressor gave up the ghost. Was able to bump the starter and get it back, but boy oh boy.
