Saw some steam puff up from under the hood passenger side front today. Wife says oh yeah its been doing that for awhile...

Aw ****.

Temps are still fine but overflow is basically empty. Looks to be spraying from the y that goes to the overflow and the heater core.small enough amount that i say **** it and we drive straight home.

Dealing with autozone was a pita cuz they dont know how to use their own inventory system but i yanked it off the truck and had the guy find one in the back.

Eliminated the quick connect on the heater core.

Fixed.

Also found out why my drivers side headlight was out. Bad fuse.

Also fixed my drivers heated seat i think. Either a fuse or resetting the connector fixed thqt.

Hard to tell, but how did you eliminate it?

That is a pic of the side of the water pump before i fixed it (where the leak was) actually so you cant see it. I simply removed the qc (molded to the original hose) and stuck the hose in its place with a hose clamp. The replacement hoses do not come with the connectors molded on, you can buy them seperately but i chose not to. Just seems like an unnecessary potential failure mode.

Thx. She's a pita, but we love her.
My dogs a pain in the ass sometimes too. Either he's stubborn as shit, or else he is getting old and going dead. I mean...he is a damn 14 year old Beagle, lol.
We just had to bring him in to get a huge tumor removed, and he was NOT happy having to wear the Cone of Shame for the last 12 days. He just had it removed on Monday. IMG_20180131_202958261.jpg
