What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Fingers crossed it's just the clutch on the compressor ( due to smell?)

I didn't think changing the clutch was too much of a big deal.
( But I am thinking of my old '88 GMC truck) Maybe I'm wrong....

Might just be easier to swap the whole compressor.

I replaced the A/C clutch on my Tahoe recently, not too difficult. It takes snap ring pliers to disassemble and a feeler gauge to set the clearance.

And discharge/ recharge the system? That’s not cheap.

It was swapped 2-3 yrs ago.

Did you use that AC Delco clutch kit? And did you do it while still on the motor? Mine is a little noisy and would like to go this route.

My old '88 GMC.... about 7 years ago I was up-dating my A/C..... Turned out completely replacing everything from condenser to heater core & everything in between / All AC Delco.
Not as pricey as I thought..... Nearly same cost for clutch, or complete compressor.
I wanted everything CLEAN inside the system.
